London International Boat Show at Excel – 8th to 17th January 2010

We have recently celebrated twenty one years as the Channel Islands ’ distributor of Sunseeker Powerboats and luxury motor yachts. From humble beginnings sharing an office with Jersey Yacht Management on Pier Road, Channel Islands Marine Ltd now has offices in both Jersey and Guernsey and our Sunseeker Service Facility at La Collette which was opened in July 2000 by Managing Director of Sunseeker International, Robert Braithwaite, MBE.

We have recently installed a completely new computer and telephone system and re-launched our web site. This new installation has not been without it’s teething problems but we start the year with the systems up and running smoothly and this, coupled with the recent formalization of our close relationship with Sunseeker London Group enables us to offer an even better and more efficient “bespoke” brokerage service not only in the Channel Islands but throughout Europe.

At the Sunseeker Dealer Conference held in the Bahamas in November, Sunseeker Channel Islands was again praised for our high standard of service which is a testament to our excellent and hard working team – Martin and Barbara in the Guernsey office, Josie in the Jersey office to support both Richard and me, and Gary, Antony and Sharon at the Service Centre. Without this team, Richard and I would not be able to offer the personal service that our clients have come to expect.

The new 34m Yacht and 86 Yacht were launched to great acclaim at the London Boat Show in January 2008. The 34m is an awesome vessel, built to commercial shipping regulations, she retains the wonderful atmosphere that all Sunseekers have, whether 30’ or 130’. The 86 Yacht stole the Show for us with a beautiful, contemporary interior of gloss walnut, angular lines, glass feature panels and inserts and rich, sumptuous soft furnishings.  The same finishes are available throughout the range and, of course, as each boat is built to order, every one is unique and matches the exacting requirements of the individual.

There is no VAT in the Channel Islands so consequently, by using our services, you can make substantial savings. Our 6,500 square foot Sunseeker Service Facility in Jersey can accommodate boats of up to 85’ and 65 tonnes. We undertake routine maintenance and servicing work as well as major refits, engine replacement, insurance jobs etc. Some of the services which we are able to provide are as follows:-

• Winterization and de-winterisation
• Engine replacement and repair
• Supplying parts and spares
• Electrical maintenance
• Internal and external valeting
• Upholstery cleaning
• Provisioning
• Refueling

We are officially appointed service agents for a number of marine engine manufacturers including Caterpillar, Yamaha, Yanmar and Kohler and have recently been appointed as service agents for Williams tenders.

CHANNEL ISLANDS MARINE LTD CAN ACT AS YOUR REPRESENTATIVE PERSON IN JERSEY UNDER THE SHIPPING (REGISTRATION) (JERSEY) REGULATIONS 2004

Channel Islands Marine can register your boat in Jersey and be your appointed representative in the Island in accordance with the Shipping (Registration) (Jersey) regulations 2004.

Charges: Annual fee of £35.00 (if paid by Standing order) or £45 for annual payment by cheque to act as representative person.

£40.00 per hour plus disbursements to register a vessel.
